I stripped of about 20 years of wallpaper and have not got around to filling and painting yet as out on the boat too often. It has been this way for a month, but i noticed this yesterday:eek:

The pic is not quite as clear under phone camera flash, but its clearly drawn by someone who can draw as opposed to a doodle. Im thinking of keeping it and colouring it in :D

There is a lovely stucco mural on our club staircase, from the style & boat designs is dates from the 1930s - and the idiots have painted over it with cream gloss. Sadly I cannot get them to repaint it. It would be stunning.

Yes, paint it up & make it a feature. You could always add a pic of your own boat. :D

i used to have an old 1880s terraced house and when we stripped the bathroom wall paper there was a fantastic portrait about 5ft high that was dated by a friend to about 1900

Add a huge orange sun in the background and sun set and then something for interest like a Sunseeker Manhattan with Tsunami wake crashing over the doodle :D

edit
And for comedy content perhaps a raggie flapping his arms up and down with a caption " ................................................................. " ?

What is wrong with people?!! I own a powerboat but have always been a sailor. I dont understand this animosity. Grow up!!

I have decided i want to keep it there, i may trace it first so i can add a couple more on the wall, just give them different colour schemes on the hulls and sails :D

Relax, I'm a raggie & Daka is well known for teasing us. Not that I would ever respond in kind.:D

Some of my best mates are stinkies, but then, I am a sad old git with no proper mates.

There is beggar all any of us can do about growing old, but I damned if I will ever grow up voluntarily!

If you had Mates the wife would ask what you were doing with condoms and divorce you, better off without them.

No further comment needed:D

Anyway
Slightly 'off tack'!
Whilst renovating/redecorating some rooms above our motorbike shop in the eighties (the nineteen eighties before you lot take the pee!) we came across some artifacts and drawings
The premises had been used as a retail clothing outfit
Bit like 'Grace Bros' in the 'Are You Being Served' as per the television series
We found a sewer's thimble and accompanying accessories, plus a newspaper which headlined the relief of Mafeking!
A whiskey bottle, smaller than today's standard 70cl but larger than what one would say, a half bottle
Which had a 'corona' type stopper
For those that don't remember this type of 'lid'
It was a kinda quick release that could be used more than once as opposed to a cork etc
Anyway
I digress (for a change):D
Said room was at the third floor
I could just imagine some poor sod stitching away on a cold winters day and trying to feel his fingers
Then taking a swig from said bottle and sneaking it away in case His employer/ Ebeneezer Scrooge caught Him out!
Anyway
The Wallpaper
Well, there wasn't any!
BUT
On preparing the walls for decoration in said Garret
Cleaning revealed a surprise
Mr sewer must have been 'at odds' with His 'Ebeneezer'
The graphics exposed certainly 'exposed' His employer plus what the employee thought about Him
I will leave the image to your imagination
Suffice it to say it would not make the pages of today's most 'liberal' Sunday Tabloids!:D

Sorry if you missed the humour, I am also a Raggie, past owner of several fine sailing craft with trophies in the cabinet as proof of competence and frequent crew these days.

As for grow up , you're having a laugh, no thanks ! :p

If ever I post anything you or anyone else dosent like just send me a pm and I will delete it.
The problem with the way you have chosen to spit your dummy out sets like concrete so I am unable to wipe the slate clean, I have deleted my post for you, now if you are really still upset all you need do is to delete your copy paste quote bit :)
Happy now :)

Cheers
Pete

Please don't feel upset by the criticism of your post. You've had a bit of a pasting, but NONE of it is intended to offend, please accept it as a bit of melodramatic over reaction. Intended to amuse rather than offend.

It's a funny old place on these fora, please continue to join in the fun - just try not to take us too seriously. ;)
