(A raggie asks) what is so special about Swordsman boats...

Re: Swordsman boats

They are a relic which has aged well, hence the somewhat eyebrow raising prices!
Whilst the E Type is rather horrid to drive, handles worse than a Korean supermini and cooks the passengers, the rather lovely old vessel probably still performs as well as a modern one!

Mmmmmm.....drool drool.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Charles Currey the MD of Fairey Marine had 3 as his lucky number, she was his own race boat, the theme follows her Lloyds registration where she is 336699 and she is H28 hull number 103, later sold to an army major who had been posted to India, he named her Teen Teen Teen (perhaps not appropriate these days) which was 333 in the local dialect, she was then named Playtime II in 1972 and I felt after that amout of time it should be left. The current letters on the bow are scaled up from the original of the photo that appears in Peter Twiss book Faster Than The Sun, Peter raced her too.

I sometimes refer to her as the devils half brother....

Coming up for seven years of being the custodian, and a plan of works that stretches to Spring 2011 (new keel!).

Just had a fab weekend on board.
