As you are outside the EU, is it still possible to buy 2-stroke outboards from your local dealer?

I know many over here still have stock, just wondering whether in the long term the CI's will still import them.

The Channel Islands are supplied by UK distributors who will not stock two strokes that do not comply with the emmission regulations.

There were some batches of small dinghy sized outboards last year but these are drying up and in the long term unless some CI dealers buy batches from overseas it is unlikely.

Most larger outboard sales are fourstroke anyway with a few emmision compliant engines such as Etec Evinrudes and Optimax.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't thinking of getting one, just curious as to whether, as you are outside of the EU, you would still be getting them.
