A pair of good insurers

As some of you may be aware I've had the *good luck* to make claims against the insurers of both the yot and the fishing boat in the last 5 months. For all sorts of reasons both claims were not straightforward (yot hit lump under direction of delivery skipper in Norway, fb had gear nicked and other stuff damaged by theevin' scrotes).

Now that both claims have been settled, I'd like to praise the efficiency and hasslefreeness of both insurers, Pantaenius for the yot and Haven Knox-Johnston for the fb. In both cases all of the peeps involved in the claim were unfailingly helpful and courteous and paid both claims in full without batting an eyelid. In the case of Pantaenius they paid out more than I claimed (for the repatriation of skipper and crew from the frozen north).

I have no commercial interest in either company just believe in praising good service.

It won't bring down next years premium just bcos you is prasing them up. Expect a thinly disguised excess recovery from the 2007 invoice....

Let me tell you Shipmates, the Bison Hat is the gateway to a good many priveleged stratas of society. It will be seen on future outings, until I reach the exalted office of Grand Master Circle. Then you will see corruption at its oligarchal peak.

One of the downsides of the Bison Hat, is its mystical power of making the wearer all knowing, but, by a trick of light, makes the wearer appear as an inebriate dribbler to all others. I think I need to practice more to harness its potent powers.
