Hi.

I am installing a new water system. At the 'top' end, the outlet from the Vetus tank is 16mm, the downstream piping I will use is 15mm JG Speedfit, which then feeds the 13mm inlet on a Jabsco Filter, and then onward some more 15mm piping feeds into the 13mm inlet on the Jabsco pump.

I am likely to also add a drain near the tank outlet. This will be 15mm.

Reducers/couplers exist for different sizes but only when the differences are much larger, for instance 15mm/22mm. Using jubilee/worm clips to secure, is the -1mm difference and +2mm between items and the piping likely to create a connection and/or potential leak issue?

Thanks for taking the time to reply alahol2, useful link.

It does seem some of my items will fit fine with speedfit, I think I will just need to determine whether the connection is going to suitable on an item by item basis, and adjust connections accordingly if I am at all wary of the joint.

Hi, I just fitted a jabsco filter on Siri. The current pipe from the water tank was 15mm copper so used push-fit elbows to route it out to the filter and back. I used 2x 15mm to 12mm hose adapters (https://www.softenersupplies.com/products/52-15mm-x-12mm-copper-hose-adaptor) and a couple of short bits of 12mm hose to the filter. I only have a whale flipper at the sink so the system is under suction not pressure. All works perfectly. The 15mm to 12mm hose adapters made fitting 15mm pipe to 13mm filter connections easy.
