Aft matchboxes?

Read the post. At 40 odd ft there is loads of space for 2 v sensible aft cabins. Modern boats don't have tight little bums like twisters, this is why they go downwind nicely and have lots of space!!

Re: Aft matchboxes?

I think you may be confusing "double mattress with a door" with "cabin". A cabin implies standing headroom and floor space, a hanging locker, stowage in draws, portholes and/or skylights, and a writing desk. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Aft matchboxes?

Fair call. On my little 39 footer I don't have a writing desk, neither does the other aft cabin and you can only stand upright if you are under 6ft 3ins. Such is life and as has been pointed out on a catamaran even a 25 footer would have these. Sadly peeps who own them probably can't write but then they are usually sailing so fast they would have missed the post anyway!

Here is the modern equivalent

[/ QUOTE ] Dehler won't let me see it unless I tell them all about myself. So for others in the same position, here is another nearly-modern equivalent. A 6 foot person can stand up in it, just, but I've taken to wearing a hat all the time while down below because I'm forever barking the top of my head on the bulkheads.
