First Mate and I are currently alongside the Down Cruising Club's pontoon at Ballydorn in Strangford Lough. The screensaver on the laptop I am writing this on is of Ballydorn, taken from about the same place on the pontoon on our previous visit eight years ago.
We arrived Monday PM from the Quoile Yacht Club buoy we sat out a bad Southerly blow on.
Within two minutes of making fast we were offered lifts to the shops, hooked up to shore power and welcomed by all the members present.
Which is how it was the last time we were here.
Earlier this morning we were gifted 4 kilos of Langoustine and Squat Lobster. There will be the clubs barbeque in action tonight and on Sunday 1 until 3.30 pm live Jazz. Despite all the tickets being long sold out, we are 'in' through the generousity of the members here.
Looking forward to it already. Must go - the Squats and half the Lagoustines are done..........................................
