A lot of elbow grease....

as a matter of interest, did you paint the black lines first, or the yellow ones ? ....

Akshually.....we painted the white ones first, then the black and finally the yellow. Hope you liked the effect! :D

Polish?

That is a fantastic result. I did mine with Boatsheen products and loads of hard work, it stained in about two days in Cardiff bay!

Cardiff stripe!

As far as I know, all boats in Cardiff bay have the famous stripe. I thought that paying £50 for Boatsheen polish and using all of the products they recommended would allow me to at least wipe it off when away from the bay. In fact the stripe would not come off even after a few days, next time I will be using something more reasonable and not be as gulable!

Sorry to hear you weren't pleased with BoatSheen products. Practically all the feedback we get is very positive, and we don't want to be in the business of selling overpriced products to the gullible, so something as specific as this is well worth telling us about directly. I'd really appreciate if you would get in touch.

I don't think we claim our products will keep all staining off the waterline, but I would be very interested to know exactly what you used, what you expected, and to see what we can do about if you aren't happy with the result. Please send me a PM or get in touch via our website.

Before I ordered from you, we spoke on the phone and I bought the products you recommended. I'm not at the boat at present but as I recall it was in 3 stages, some sort of cleaner, a cutting product and a polish. I put 3 coats of polish on the hull plus another 2 around the waterline. I also bought one of your polishing machines mostly for the cutting compound. I didn't expect the products to stop the staining completely but I hoped it would be reduced but mostly I expected, after our phone conversation, that the brown mark could be wiped off easily. As you can imagine, after spending something well over £100 and putting in a lot of work, I am disappointed.
