hm, yes, and he hasn't taken up the slack in the jib sheet ready for the picture, nor yet taken off the screen canopies. The chance of a great picture ruined
The first reefing line up the leech is too tight.
The stackpack lazy lines could have been eased slightly.
The dirty mark around (I assume) the exhaust should have been cleaned off.
Shame on you for showing us just how slap dash you are when your sailing! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Surprised no one has mentioned the exhaust soot on the top sides.
Ah! just spotted fireball noticed it!
Trying to find out what is causing this. Started to appear about 12 months ago, checked all the obvious, but still it smokes a little. The engine is otherwise spot on, it is fuel soot rather than oil.
"Expensive kicker - should get some use out of it!"
Actually, coz of the boom angle, the kicker looks like it would have to work very hard to have not very much effect. It would be doing more to force the boom through the mast than to tighten the leech.
The luff at this point was too tight, we had only just set sail and I was still trimming. The main was nearly on the shrouds with the wind well on the port rear 1/4. The kicker would have been tight, the boom although here fairly level is never horizontal.
and BB, no the engine isnt running, if you look at my post further up I have already had the 'P' taken for the soot on the hull.
Ignore them all. I get the nit-picking all the time. Let's see their perfect trimming, and then wonder at how long they could have been enjoying a sail instead. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
