a HUUUUUUUUUGE old yacht .....

... has just moored in Barcelona. She's flying an italian flag and is called Astra. She looks old but in beautiful condition and is very very big. Does anyone know anything about her?

Sail or power?

If sail, it's probably this old girl:

A 23 metre, or some such. Lovely jubbly - I expect she does the Classic Yacht racing circuit and is probably on her way to La Nioulargue (?sp?)

A yacht called Astra was built in UK and subsequently modified to race against the J Class yachts:

I think she is usually moored in Le Grazie near La Spezia. Glad to hear she occasionally goes somewhere!
