Does anyone know of a good yacht broker, and roughly how much it will cost me? I need to sell my Vancover 27, she is currently lying in London, but could be moved by road.

I couldnt tell you if they are any good but as the main distributor of Vancouvers, anyone interested in a 27 would probably try them first.
Based at Itchenor I think.

Yacht Broker charges
Standard charge is 8% plus VAT on the eventual sale price of the boat from all the brokers I ever used.

They are indeed at Itchenor - http://www.northshore.co.uk/. Not just the distributors; they build them there. I had the pleasure of helping a friend sail away his brand new Vancouver 28.

Commission can often be based on whether you buy replacement boat through the same broker ...... exchange at Sea Ventures for example can be 4% - if they want your boat ! 8% if they are not selling you replacement .... but many brokers can offer terms lower or higher ....... TELEPHONE ROUND - Get quotes and remember that some offer FREE storage during sale period ........
