A good surveyor?

In my previous posting I ment to ask if anybody has had experiance of a good surveyor on the South Coast - Solent area. Some one you could recommend?

Try Tony Staton Beavon he is an expert on GRP you shoul be able to get number from YBDSA. They will also have a list of all qualified and associated surveyors.

Peter Desty on the Hamble. I am afraid I do not have his number but if you cannot find him in the phone book Chris Day at GFW Direct in the offices at Hamble Point can give you his number. Peter does a lot of work on insurance claims and making sure insurance repairs are carried out properly.Peter surveyed two boats for me at less than half the coat of a Registered surveyor. In the first he found a defect which had been 'hidden' with a comestic repair. He charges on the basis of the time it takes and not on the value of the boat.
