Hi, A freind recently purchased a very neglected Carravella 25. I gave him some help( got the 1gm10 going after six years) and fixed up a fair bit of other stuff which was appallingly done and in a dangerous state. After a three hour test in the harbour last Saturday it seemed the best shot to get it to its new home in Poole was yesterday. We struggled to get out of Portsmouth Harbour entrance against a strong spring flood but once out and down the inner swashway we were off and running. Port tack almost all the way with a bit of goosewinging after the Hurst Narrows.Did 10.2 knts. under sail SOG by handheld through there! Nice little boat, perfect day and under eight hours pontoon to pontoon. Best sail I've had all year.

Think you passed me going up the harbour yesterday evening. I was goose winging my Bavaria up the main channel, enjoying watching the sun go down.
