Has anybody tried the above product, my boat needs a serious clean/polish and I think this might be the answer.

I am thinking of getting www.marvalservices.com to apply it.

If anybody knows of any Boat cleaning/polishing company that covers Winderemere I would also be interested.

Thanks

Hi,

I know the owner of the company who sell A Glaze in England, he has his boat on the same pontoon as mine! so naturally all the boats on our pontoon are using in with the exception of me! but thats just because I bought a load of polish 2 years ago and have not finished it all up yet!

The finish looks great and most of the boat owners swear its much better than any polish they have used. I think to really get it right you have prepare the boat first with a special cleaner that is also supplied and then put on the sealing coat. for best results you will need to cover the boat at least twice before its really sealed, but after that not much needs doing for a year or so, and people tell me that all the dirty stains that all boat get with rain water etc just wipe off! I have to say that boats on our pontoon that use it always look very clean and shiny!

Best of luck

Barry

I was tempted to buy this product at the show but for a 40 ft boat I was told I needed 2 sets as each set is for one 30ft boat. The cost was therefore £200 which I felt was a tad expensive! However if it really does work and saves time then clearly it could be worth the investment.Which marina are the boats in that use it?

Chatham Maritime marina on the Medway.

I have to say I agree with you about the price, Probably why I'm the only boat on our pontoon that has not purchased it yet!

G'day Jim44,

This sounds like the old epoxy resin and clear UV sealer stuff to me, if it is, and you only have to ask them what it's made of. Then it's fine, provided you are happy to pay for the lot to be stripped off in a few years, as it tends to yellow with age. Worth checking. I hope I'm wrong about this and will try to find the US web site that carried out the tests a couple of years back, will post the address when I find it.

Thanks, glad I asked the question. If you do find the web-site please post it.
