A few weeks back I posted about my problems with Yanmars failing to start (here). The consensus was that there was too much voltage drop through the extended wiring loom was too much to activate the solenoid.
My thanks to jonno45 who volunteered to send me a suitable relay. He was as good as his word and I fitted it today to the engine which would never start without a jump from the house batteries. It started first press of the button.
Result!
