A few pictures to brighten up your day...

Well, it's that time of year again. We launched Cranki over a month ago but we're now finally back in the swing of things. For those not in the know, we're based on the beautiful Lough Corrib in the West of Ireland (biggest lake in Republic of Ireland).

Below are some random pictures which we took over the past few weekends while the weather was nice.

Of course there's going to be a wake shot....

This is Inchagoill; an island steeped in history with lovely forest trails etc...

After a nice nature trail walk, time to spoil yourself....

OK, now it's time for some scenery....

Now, for a spin up to the Maam mountains and a visit to the famous Joe Keane's pub for a pint and toastie...

This is the famous Ashford Castle (www.ashford.ie) - A truly magical hotel which I just can't get enough of. The castle has just undergone a €5 million refurbishment. Having visited the castle today I can confirm it looks amazing!

This is Currarevagh House; Ireland's oldest guesthouse. I also visited the house today for the first time and it is another truly magical place. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit the West of Ireland...

Very nice pics and some very nice places! Your boat doesn't look too bad either, well done.

As Henry says, there are a lot of similarities in scenery between your cruising grounds and ours (minus the mountains which we don't have).

Blimey Alt..........so many fab photos and no rain! Did you take them all within 3 mins of each other?

scuba - you'd think they were taken on the same lake! We are lucky here in the West of Ireland that we have some mountains to provide for an excellent backdrop.

Pinnacle - I had a team of photographers take pictures of every angle for the 2 minutes of sunshine we got a few weeks back

I'll keep the thread updated with pics if we get any more nice weather this summer.... those pics were taken within close proximity of each other geographically, but the scenery get's much nicer at the NW end of the lake.
