Finally managed to get some reasonable photos of my efforts on our family's new addition, after following a lot of information on here and advice, reading etc...

Today, I decided to take advantage of the dry weather and attacked the last of the work I knew of on the fly bridge.

Now I have fully functioning, depth, fish finder and gps. Also managed to clean and polish the fly bridge to leave a finished effort :)

on top of this, I have done a few more smaller jobs inside, mostly cleaning and minimal wiring/replacing parts. Oh and tried the radar... it also is fully functioning!

But heres a few photos...

And a pair of fresh drives

I used some flexible led strips to give some ambient light without having to turn all of the interior lighting on

All looks good, but take the speaker grill off in the final pic, clean it up with oxalic acid and use s/s screws.

Any random photos of it down there Jon?

I washed it down with a warm soapy water/shampoo effort. Then dried, and used the meguiars 3 stage set I had from when I used to do car competitions, so its like a cleaner, prep and top wax. Took a lot of time and effort but it definately shows its worth it.

The plan is to do the whole boat to give a good shine but some parts of the gel coat are going to need a cutting compound first.

Took a day off work today to carry out some more work.

Got some photos but they are a bit dark and boring lol
Awful day weather wise but managed to run new cable for the new windlass and new switching for it. What a time consuming job!

My Mrs joined me today and also cleaned the aft section down ready for some polish on a drier day

glorius day yesterday at last!

So i managed to tick a few more bits off..

Managed to fit 2 new battery trays ans glass them in so they are solid and also fit 2 new batteries into the engine bay. Just need to do the cabling for them now.

I also managed to fit the Isolator and breaker for the new windlass and the foot switches i was asked to put in from my old man, as well as finally remove the last of the older components and cables.

Our engineer is meant to be re doing the deck plate for the new unit hence not fitted yet

I also started more cleaning so the bow is all done as is the aft - cleaned, and polished and waxed - the gel coat was a lot better than i thought it was actually, just needed a damn good clean

Heading back down tomorrow to attack the job ive been putting off - fitting a new heads....

And probly some more cleaning of the sides to get it to match the front and back. I think i just need to clean the hull once ive done this :)

And we finally have a launch date of the 27th march - i can almost see a light at the end of the tunnel!

Final days of progress....

Today I have finished off re wiring the additional batteries and charging system. So now we have 3 batteries in parallel for the domestic/windlass and each engine has a battery too.

I also re profiled the underside of the floor as it was tight for the inlet pipe form the heads, now all plumbed with the relevant clips on the seacocks and heads ends.

I left the loops in place as anti siphon loops as they had a good height compared to our other measurements.

I also finished off the new wiring for the windlass in the engine bay, and with a bit of assistance from the old man, re re profiled the steel plate the engineer we has on the job take off and do most of the hard work.

This enabled us to fit the windlass, and also fit a bollard. While we had it all off we also polished it up a bit.

This was the wired up and the wiring tidied. Now we have the chain and anchor all fitted and in the locker :) as well as the foot switches there is also an up/down switch on the lower helm with the intention of fitting another on the fly another time.

The cushions gave been away to be cleaned and are ready to go back in.
I thought id get a photo of the leds I fitted a while ago as it was dark before I left tonight.

I also sorted the random loose bits of trim today so all in all, quite a productive day.

It goes in the water Thursday but I think I've got all of the major jobs sorted now with just cleaning and taking away tools, adding boat related things on board

Look superb, top work Sir!
Good luck with the launch, bet you can't wait :)

Thanks!

I'm looking forward to launch however im a little nervous knowing ive done most of the work there just incase.... but im sure it should all be good!

The front half of the boat has been power washed and scrubbed now including the coppercoat so ive to do the rear half Thursday morning, put cushions in and double check seacocks and bilge pumps are all good.

The interior has all been scrubbed within an inch of its life - just needs the carpet a good hoovering but left that til thje last minute with all of the in/out/in/out going on.

I have 2 new gas bottles in the car today so so the only 'outstanding' job left is to prime the webasto - which i have a hand pump for at some point.

I believe the engines were being serviced today - oil/filters/impellers etc.... and then run up to ensure all was well - they were when i tested th starters so should be all good there.

I'm hoping the next photos i take is of her in the water with some feedback as to how she goes :) Currently the weather looks promising too so fingers crossed....

It will all be fine, it will be a fantastic day :)
I know what you mean though, after having mine out on the hard for Months doing lots of work, including changing seacocks, I half expected her to just slowly sink into the depths on launching.
But, happily, she's still floating. Or, she was yesterday, no doubt I'll end up eating those words!

Looking forward to the photos of her sitting proudly in the wet stuff :)
