A news item on BBC Scotland's online site today is about a 20 year old, driving a car believed stolen. Pursued by Police on the Isle of Lewis, he was arrested after the car left the road and hit... a TREE!
I never knew there were trees on the outer hebrides?
Hmmm. 'hebceltfest.com', 11 to 14 July, eh?
I wonder if that clashes with Brest2012 and Douarnenez.
Lewis is on our list this year- if it all works out we'll be there for the Hebridean Celtic Festival which is a very, very good night out with lots of boatie interest during the day.

Two of my favourite things in a beautiful place at the same time. It would be rude not to....
Food-wise, try scallops and Stornoway black pudding.
HebCeltFest is a three day event. The pubs are open till the wee sma' hours and every second person is carrying a musical instrument. The SailHeb folk are brilliant. We had a fantastic week there this Summer. Highly recommended.
