There seems to be a few posts about people receiving good service recently, great to hear. I'd like to add a couple:

Osmotech at Hamble Point, who did a great job of rebuilding my flybridge seat that a bunch of crooks in France had bodged, incorporating a recess for a lid, and gel washing the inside. They turned it round in a few days so I could get it back to France in time.

K J Howells. I recently had a problem with an armrest on a chair I bought from them at SIBS. Due to a communication error with my boat minder, the whole armrest was thrown away, when Howells could have repaired it. No problem they said, and I received the new armrest the next day.

Second Osmotech, top blokes, just came back from job for me in St Trop, excellent work and done in double quick time and half the price than the local robbers incl flights and accomodation for three days.

Yep, i'm totally fed up with the incompetent crooks in SoF (by which I mean incompetent engineers, they're actually expert crooks), so absolutely everything gets sent back to blighty now, and I only use local engineers for emergencies.
