yes I do think it's a classic - after 2 years the rebuild of my Hemming and Morris 13' Speedboat - the Marina, is complete! Including timber decks, though not painted - polished to near perfection
As it was built in the early 1950's it surely rates as a classic
Only bit missing is the Windshield - don't have an idea as to what the 1950's speedboats had - if any!
So any ideas please pass them on - I do have a supply of perspex for a DIY project, currently toying with idea of token windshield as on old motor bikes and some early sports cars

Most of the pictures of old boats i have seen, have similar windscreens to the old american cars, glass and curced at the edges, similar to a 57 chevy for arguments sake

That windshield - yes you were quite correct it was very nicely curved! ANNND more importantly I have it!

The chap who gave me the restoration project found the origional in a shed TODAY! I have cleaned it up, it is crazed, it is cloudy, but, it is more than 50 years old so it is going on the boat!

Launch for the first time since the late 60's should be next weekend, probably in the floating harbour, Bristol

Pics uploaded this eve. Launch will be delayed due to wrong parts being supplied for my '61 merc 350, will have to wait for replacements from US
