A celebration of the East Coast

After a weekend of less than ideal weather, I spent 30 pleasant minutes this evening browsing through some of this seasons pictures of sailing on the East Coast.

It got me to thinking that it would be nice to have a thread that captures in picture the very best of natures gift to all that sail on our beloved waters.....

We met the owner in the Maybush. He sails singlehanded with an old Labrador which lies on the sidedeck. When he shouts "Tack" the dog walks round to the other side of the boat!

We struggle to get to far off lands - well France / Belgium etc all the time fretting about the weather now and forecast and then have this on our doorstep. Why do we do it!

Late last season whilst sitting waiting for enough water to get back on our mooring we enjoyed a not particularly spectacular, but all the same very pleasant typical East Coast sun set.
