I sugested today that someone ought to buy a small OB then realised that i only have a seagull!!!
I used to have a 1.5hp marine super light started first pull. But dident like being droped overboard and never recovered.

What is the lightest smallest 2 stroke OB that can be found? From where and what do they cost?

I want a short shaft 1hp would be good 1.5hp would be ok but a bit over powerd for my dingy!(honestly)My dingys plastic rows very well but is round bottemed and tips easly!! Untill im in.

How much are todays 2 stroke OBs??

Well it's 800 notes, but it fits the bill. Torqeedo /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i use a 1.5hp seabea minor for a dinghy motor and its very light and reasonably quiet and its aircooled. parts are nigh on impossible to get though..

Where should i put the battery?????? Anyway in europe there much less costly and second hand can be found but cost more than a proper OB!!!!

I did nave a mariner 1.5hp i suppose a 2hp would be the same size? so they do exist.

Dose anyone sell new OBs?? cant be that expensive??Can they?? after all were told they will be forbibben by the european dictator this year?

Don't know if it's the lightest, but the Suzuki 2.2 can easily be lifted up out of the dinghy with one hand (and I'm no weight lifter!).

ill look at the suzuki!

I dident read the electric notes as i have a dreadful internet connection!! Keeps stopping

Anyway i couldent charge the battery! i only have solar panels and i havent decided weather the 85w can go in place of a doger and not get damaged?

Otherwise only 18w and a new 25w im only thinking about the 85w as i have 2 of them!! and want an isotherm! Now where can i put the fridge???

Looks as if im starting again!! Have to get a bigger boat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep the size you are. Upgrading is the road to tears.
Does look as though you'll have to go for a slightly more powerful motor than you envisaged. Unless you get an old Seagull. All the rest seem to living on borrowed time.
