I see the irrepressible Matts postings are nudging close to the magic 1,000 mark.

He must be due a new title, can't be just "regular" like the rest of us.

Kim had given him the addict title earlier, but he protested about that, so Kim reverted him to the same status as us mere mortals. But surely there must be some recognition of this magnificent feat. Apart from giving him his own forum, (though some may say he's already got one here).

So votes as to what new title he should get.

Report by Auditor - bodged numbers

Colin, total bolx I'm afraid. About 250 of those posts said "." and were sent in the space of 5mins one night early summer.

Feel free to flame me matt, fully expecting it :))

Why is it I sense that the long winter nights are biting already...?

For the various audit teams here I might be wrong (and I haven't got the patience to check) but I'm fairly sure that the repeat postings Matt used were subsequently struck off and no longer count towards his total.

And for the record, the <addict> thing was a default we inherited with the software. We can give rankings at any number of postings but the default options were awful and the inevitable suggestions for marinised alternatives too twee (I know most of you are admirals anyway). You'll have to work extra hard at a new label or labels before convincing me that they should be reinstated!

How about the first person to 1000 gets to buy the drinks at the London Boat Show?

Re: Offer of services

Given your proper resolve to get rid of the exisitng auditor, I should like to offer my services here for modest remuneration (fully disclosed). I feel I am fully qualified being a member of the institute of proper chartered accountants (i.e. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland)

I can ensure that audit is done to prevailing international standards - in other words, if you pay me enough I'll say anything and/or sign anything and then rely on the professional indemnity insurance. There will, of course be the standard letter of engagement which says that if anything goes wrong, its all your fault

Re: Offer of services

Maybe you can help my pal. he is complaining about his house in Nice, apartment in Monaco, his $12,000,000 yacht in Greece, his apartment in Wapping, his home on the Thames and his Cigarette he keeps in Florida. Then there's his Ferraris, his Rollers and his Bentleys. It seems the problem is HMIT will not believe he only earns fifty quid a week.

Re: Sorry - Thats Tax!

Tax, as many will know on this forum is not my specialist subject so the price will have to be higher for your mate to cover all the research I would have to do. He probably needs a tax shelter and I believe that Afghanistan is quite effective in that regard these days.

Nick not international tax guru

Axshully no Nick - The Taliban finance minister has just announced a new tax on road movements, to be paid by Red Cross food relief trucks as well as everyone else, to raise $$$ for the war effort. This is true, not a wind up, see page 327, "Tax Notes International " journal, 22/10/01 edition. Really I find your international tax knowledge quite lacking ;-)

The above took me 6 minutes to post, that's £80 please + VAT

Re: DIY Title-generator

Looks ever so complicated and we come back to lists again. How about you get your name in a nice new colour. Kim's got red and paul and nipper's got green, so how about a stripey different coloured one for you. Or better still nice leopard spots. Geddit???

C'mon Kim got to mark the occasion somehow. God it's boring no boating isn't it.
