Comox Bay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada (200 km north of Vancouver)

Well done - nothing like someone else forcing the issue -hopefully thats the slow bit done. What type is she? Looks a good place to sail - great scenery. Any more piccis?

Steel, 37 feet X 11.2 X 5feet 2 inches draft.

Wood interior, local B.C. maple and cherry interior with a teak cabin sole purchased on ebay from plantation teak ... 5 pounds a board foot.

Heater/stove is from a fishboat a Dickinson Pacific with welded stainless steel sea rails with the ss bolts tapped into the cast iron top.

Latest model of Waeco refrigration, one piece, very efficient with a computer type fan and is only 12 X 10 X6 inches in depth, most of which is outside the icebox. Uses 4 amps but with 30 percent duty cycle is much less.

British Ampair Paciic wind generator, Koyecera 60 watt solar panel.

Computer chip in bilge pumps checks for water every 2 minutes.

Still have to complete mast and attach antenna for my wife's ham radio.

Looking forward to showing boat to son and daughter.

Easy on the regulations here.

Boat is anchored in the bay and protected from prevailing SE storm winds by a sand spit that was used by the British navy in the 1850's for gun practice.

CQR, 220 feet of 3/4 inch logging chain and 70 feet of 7/8 dacron/nylon combination with hose protection at deck end.

Surprisingly the Drip Free Shaft Packing from Drip Free Packing of Florida, works!

Shaft can be turned by hand, no water inflow. I purchased the green teflon stuff that is packed after the regular flax packing into the conventional stuffing box.
Purchased from Defender in the USA.

Best deals on reel ends of spectra / dyneema seem to be on eBay in the U.K.

Best deals on everything else to had from the USA even with shipping and taxes.

The coast of British Columbia is quite spectacular. I do miss the eagles especially the chick that hatched this sping from the nest high in a tree above the boat, alongside the river.

The Comox Glacier is visible in the photo!
