Sounds like a plan..... we'll be there.... although haven't checked my charts to see how much green there is in the area you are suggesting yet, other than an almanac derived rough idea /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Spoilsport.
Yep, I think its a good place to anchor for the night, and then the 1.5 mile walk to the pub and back. Who knows, may even be nice enough for a BBQ on the sea wall.

With any luck Miss Ellie will be going in sometime over the next week or two so I think a couple of days going up and down the river and I'll be ready to give this a go . Anyone know if there are any awkward bits I need to watch out for ?

Dave
Nope, Dead simple, easy anchorage, good holding, choice depending on wind direction. One will need some method of getting ashore however. Can of course pick you up etc.

I'm reviewing the situation
Can a fellow be a pillock all his life?
All the trials and tribulations!
Better settle down and get myself a boat.
And a boat would float and go for me,
And come for me, and go for me,
The tiller, she will wag at me.
The money she will take from me.
A misery, she'll make from me...
