...expected for tomorrow morning!
I'd rather check the mooring lines if I had a boat around there.
Not to mention heading to a safe harbour, with a forecast of up to 5m waves...

Currently in Imperia, just round the corner. It's howling some of the gusts coming through very strong. No let up for a while either.

Yup. Blowing 7-8 now, from the East, 100nm of fetch. It has been blowing strong (5-6) all weekend so the waves were already big yesterday afternoon before the f7-8 stuff arrived. So, depending how sheltered your port is, yes check your lines. Antibes Mole Sud west side folks (the best location imho!) will be fine because the wind is blowing straight onto their sterns, I mean there shouldn't be any need for damage

Weird ... relatively calm here (10 kms away) possibly F3-4 but no more but the sea state was horrendous this morning. Frejus, St Raph and St Trop getting a real pounding though apparently.

I'm back in UK now. Was howling f7-8 in the night though lightening up now, I'm told. Sea is quite wild. Bord du mer was shut yesterday afternoon becuase the waves were coming over it, laden with debris, like logs and stuff. Business as usual really.

we were in Cassis last week,
At arrival, the weather was bad enough to keep the boat in the harbour, on saturday, sunday and monday.
From then on we had acceptable (???:o) weather for diving,
a long trip on thuesday to Toulon,
and wednesday & thursday to Marseille area,
but last weekend was bad again,
on saturday I had to poddle at 9kn from Cassis to La Ciotat for whinching out the boat.
F7-8 SE, 3-4m waves, but sunny :)
