50hp to 15hp change

I have a 19' Hardy Regatta with a 50HP Johnson 2 stroke and am considering changing to a 15hp Suzuki 4 stroke due to the fact the boat will from now be used on the inland waterways with a max speed of 5kn - sometimes facing a current of 4kn. Does anyone have any opinions on whether this power would be sufficient to move this vessel at required displacement speeds?

I used to have a 20ft Microplus 600 with a 20hp outboard and that was more than fast enough (around 9 knots). I don't think you will have any problems with a 15hp.

I've used a Hardy Pilot on the Thames that was fitted with a 9hp Honda. It was fine for the river (and nice and quiet).
Mind you I used to have a 60hp two stroke on mine which was more fun but offered no real advantage except in the middle of winter when most people are at home anyway.
