We have bought "Bahia" which we've found out is or was actually called "Bahia de la Paz". We're in New Zealand and trying to track down some history. The information we have is that Leonard Wiberley, a famous childrens author owned Bahia in the 60's and wrote about her in "Toward a Distant Island", which says she was built at the long beach boat yard. We have a website click here which lists what we know. If anyone could help /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I tried them, even sent them a photo, but the helpful person I got didn't recognize it as an alden design, thou we've seen ones on their site that look similiar. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have however, just posted them again, so we'll see what happens this time round...

Here's the response from the John Alden Guys.

Dear Craig,

We are not able to identify your boat from the informations given.
Our data base has no boats listed under the names Bahia or Bahia de la Paz.
We might be able to identify her if you can locate the builders name or original name of boat or name of original owner.
Best regards,
