500'th post

I have just made my 500th post here on the forum, it has only taken me 10 years and 5 months, worth commemorating only to thank all of those whose ideas and suggestions I have shamelessley stolen and utilised in the last decade.

When we were prepping the boat for an Atlantic circuit I found the help and debate hereabouts very useful, key decisons included
SSB and Sat Phone, Hydrovane, Mailasail, routing, ARC, educating children on board, as well as some smaller, but in the overall run of things no less important ideas, such as writing numbers on bottles of drinking water to keep track of consumption on a three week passage.

There are some odd ideas thrown around on any internet forum but on YBW there are some very knowledgeable and helpful folk who wear their knowledge lightly and share it with good grace.

I echo all you say but don't the 'odd ideas' add to the overall enjoyment?
