Hi
I need a deck connector for a Nasa Clipper Wind Masthead Unit which has 5 wires coming down the cable. The online chandleries only seem to have the Bulgin Buccaneer in waterproof 6 pin, and they do a low profile socket, is it possible to get a 5 pin version, or another connector that does the job ? Ive seen some at Farnell but they look more like panel connectors...
thanks

I would take the cable through a deck gland and then connect below using wago 222 connectors. Index make the deck glands.

I use a Bulgin Buccaneer plug/socket for my NASA Wind through-deck. About 15 years old, now, and still good. I've got one at the top of the mast, too, so that I can take the M/H unit off over Winter.

The Bulgin Bucanneer 400 series is not available with 5 pins (only 2,3,4,6,8,10 or 12)

I would fit a new 6 pin socket and plug but only use 5 of the pins

Thanks Vic & Paul R that’s what I will do. Sadly the masthead unit is already wired into the mast but I’ll try to fit an inline connector up th top at a later date
