I've served on all of those ships and its very sad to see them go. Their problem was that they had very large crews (and hence expensive). But they also had all the toys and looked like proper warships. Very happy memories of my time on them. I know two of the ex CO's of them are keen yachtsmen and occasional look in on YBW. Both made it to Admiral after their drives of those ships.
