3YM30 fuel lift pump - manual operation

Posting a question for a friend... He is planning to change his fuel filters on his 3YM30 (I think it's an AE) on his Jenneau 379, and we were discussing cam position for the fuel lift pump to ensure that he's getting a full stroke when it comes to bleeding the primary filter... So, is it minimum "slack" movement?

Yep ..... if the lever is completely floppy you can feel that it's not pushing anything inside the pump assembly. The engine needs to be turned until you feel resistance on the lever.
