3rd reef setup?

I would be grateful for some suggestions as to how to attach the sail to the rams horns on the boom.

I have run a line through the boom to take the line through the leech cringle.

The luff end was supplied without a cringle, but a sewn loop at the third reefing point to attach a block or shackle.


Would a big shackle or something similar be enough?

A suitable sized bow shackle sounds like a good idea to me.

I agree, a bow shackle should be OK. Check that the loop plus shackle is long enough to reach down over the folds of reefed sail and reach the rams horn.

To prevent have a shackle against the sail when not reefed why not have a soft shackle like this
