I just bort one. They seem in very short supply, orders being taken for August, but I found one of the few in stock at Ron Hale Marine so snapped it up. Haven't collected it from shop yet. Got the steering wheel version, not the handlebars
Did you find it fits ok on P46 and is 250kg on the back ok trim wise, etc? Who did you get to make your bathing platform chocks, were you please wivvem, and how much?
We've got the big Besenzoni Passerel which is rated at 250KG. We too were worried about the RIB's weight. Having checked it out with Fairline they said "We fit the 250kg Passerel don't we" They also do std stainless chocks to suit the 320. Not cheap though at £550. Can't wait to have a "Blat" (80hp in a 3.2m RIB has got to be FUN!!!)
I can assure you it is, 40mph in one is an absolute hoot! We've used ours (Zodiac 315/ Steering Wheel) for all sorts and its grand at all of them, Water Skiing, Ringo, Wakeboard, Beech, Kneeboard etc all brilliant!! Paul
For Gods Sake don't mention a race to my 16yr old son or you'll definitely be on for it & I'm sure I could not afford the petrol, the way that thing drinks it. Mind you thinking about it PhilF and Marc, regulars on here, and OV berthers, are often to be seen racing each other up the Itchen and across to Hythe in their ribs with outboards, so perhaps we could arrange something during warmer times!! look forward to a meet and a drink perhaps. PM me with your next dates at OV. Paul
This is actually starting to get interesting, what about arranging a date (a Sunday perhaps) in say April/May to all meet up perhaps at Studland with our Ribs/Tenders and have a bit of fun. A race might be a little hairy but combining our talents/toys could be an absolute hoot! I feel sure, MarcC, PhilF, me, MrLoudly, NautiImpulse and a few others, would be up for it. And The Banks is just up the beech! Lets set it up, anyone like to take admin? Paul
Ok then, "a social gathering of likeminded boating people that just happen to have rather high powered tenders on their boats, that on the day just happened to be all travelling in their tenders in a simialr direction at quite high speeds" as far as the insurance companies are concerned anyway, unless someone knows a better way perhaps. I'm still awaiting a date by the way. ps Zodiac Jet Ribs Rule OK, eat our wake!! Paul
Positive ............................ I think??? Anyway ours is run in !! 200 hp turbo, chipped, alloys, go faster stripe, underlight neons and a furry dice!! I've also got a sixteen year old jockey driving mine, no idea what fear is, and let me tell you blatting along in that thing at my age, your sphincter soon knows what fear is!! Paul
Tee hee! OK if you have chipped it and got blue neons in the washer jets I'll back off. But out of the box both boats have the same yammie motor only the 320 is a bit smaller than the Projet and much lighter - 210kg versus 300kg. The 320 should win.....
Saw your post on buying an Avon 320 Seasport. What do you think after the sea trial? I am thinking of getting one but before I do I'm trying to sort out an upgrade to my Cooney passarell which currently only lifts 200kg. I have a Sealine T46 at Haslar. I would be interested in your views on the Avon and any advice you can give me before I buy one. Regards Rob Marks (headoftoys)
