Having replaced a fixed 18inch 2 bladed prop with a 16.5inch 3 bladed KiwiProp on my Moody Eclipse 33 it does not seem to provide enough thrust. The engine is a Volvo 2003 28hp shaftdrive which was the same as on my previous boat - a Westerly Konsort Duo. The 3 bladed prop on that performed well and although I am sure it was larger than the KiwiProp, I do not know the size. Anybody with this engine know what size their 3 bladed prop is.

I'm chuffed to bits with my new Kiwiprop and the service from Vecta Marine could not be better (IMHO). So, why not give them a call? Assuming the diameter is right, it could be a straightforward matter of changing the pitch.

I've got a Kiwiprop fitted to my new boat and am still getting used to it, having had a Bruntons Autoprop (2 bladed) on my last boat.
I don't seem to be able to get many revs in reverse whilst trying to stop (max 1200-1500). I am told by the agent that this is normal on the Kiwiprop as the pitch is so coarse in reverse, but it doesn't feel right somehow. Is it just my boat or is this the norm for these props?

We have a Yanmar 2GM, Saildrive and Kiwiprop and have exactly the same issue. Drive in forward is perfect and the pitch can be adjusted anyway. In reverse we have to make sure the engine is warm first, it's always on the edge of stalling. The reverse pitch can't be adjusted.
The Kiwiprop overall, is a better bet than the Gori's we've had.
