Hi,
I've just picked up a really clean 2.6M Waveco inflatable and an Evinrude 3.5hp outboard.. Tried it about a week ago and it was great but any more than half throttle made no difference to the RPM.. I am not specifically interested is getting more speed, I know there isn't enough power to plane a 2.6M boat, but do want to be able to use the full power of the engine if needed which comes from reaching the full RPM..
Looking at the manual these outboards come standard with the highest available pitch prop which is 7" so I am thinking of putting on a 6" prop but I want to confirm the current one is 7" before getting the new prop.. Problem is I can't seem to find any markings on the outside of the prop..
Where would I see what pitch the prop is?
Is it behind the prop so only visible if you take the prop off?
Thanks..
