My engine control panel is looking a bit sad:

and a new one is a bit expensive. I think they are fairly generic, so I'm guessing there must be places that sell them second hand.

Does anyone know of places that might sell them... ideally NW england, as I'd like to drive there and collect, but I guess mail order might work.

I'm tempted to drive to a marine engineers in Pwhllelli, who said they "should" be able to fix me up with something, which is about 2.5 hours away, but nearer would be better.

Do they have these panels on canal boats?

Any pointers welcomed

Richard

I have a volvo penta panel off a 2001 engine without the tachoYear 1998 It has a aswitch no key and push button start.let me know if your interested

I will let you know stu.
A further note for Richard on my panel there is space for is tacho with the space for the tacho just to push out size 180 x 140 mm

I saw one of these going on eBay a few weeks ago advertised as 'not working'. I thought it was worth a bid of £30 - it sold for approx £130!

Refurbishment might be a lot cheaper...

Just ordered a new panel from Keypart.com ... hopefully, the transfer of bits will be, as you say, a doddle !

What was the result of your non-working Tacho a few weeks back?

Dont know yet. I've brought the whole panel home, and I've now got the kit to be able to test the tacho - I think - a 12v source, and a 9v source. Just need to look back up the posts to see how to do it.

I've also bought a box of VP bits on ebay, one of which is my tacho, (plus 5 other tachos, all of which look like they will fit), .... dont know if it/any works yet.

I'll report as things proceed

OK... I have moved the tacho across, and can see how to get all the other bits out, except the key switch - any suggestions as to how this comes out .. I dont want to break it
