Me again - refitting my project - its only been 3 weeks and we are significantly poorer already!

Can anyone recommend some good online outlets for 2nd hand equipment. We particularly want a parrafin heater and cooker.

cheers

so quickly the pennies dissapear into this hobby.

Here is an idea, go out into your garden, dig a hole, once a month just after pay day go out and bury your money, seem familiar /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

As stated boat jumbles, ebay sometimes has a few bits an pieces, hang around the yards and see if anyone is tearing their boat apart, make an offer on any useful bits!

On the Hamble above the bridge at Bursledon there's a place called the 'Boat Barge' (or something like that). It's like Yot Grot but bigger and always seems to have some interesting stuff - rigging, spars, engines etc. Seemed pretty well priced when I was last there just before Christmas.

Re: The Barge

If you go to the barge, make sure you look poor....... I went there on one occasion looking "clean and tidy", they had a tank which was exactly what I wanted. When I asked the price he quoted me a figure which I felt was too high so I didn't buy it. A friend of mine went there the week after, dressed in dirty jeans and a sweater with holes in it and he got it for me for £20 less! ;)
