I've been sanding and varnishing some of the veneered woodwork on my boat, but some of it is rippled and discoloured and in a generally shabby state, the underlying wood is good and i seem to be able to peel just the veneer off the wood rather easily !!, so thought i would put new 2mm veneer panels in to smarten it up.

Trouble i am having is finding a supplier near to me (within about 100 miles or reading) that i can buy some from, does anyone know of such a supplier ?

I will be down on the south coast at the weekend, and then in somerset early next week, then in birmingham mid week, so ideally someone in those sort of directions

Thanks

I got hold of a small amout from a little boating business in chippenham, they just happened to have some in a shed! P&I boats May be worth a shot for small amounts. Doubt they do a delivery service, very small company, about 70 miles from Reading.

Or you could try Capital Crispin Venerr www.capitalcrispin.com

Never used them commercially but I know Lawrence Crispin the director. I suspect a few others on this forum might too - he is one of the UK's top sailors.

Re-veneering existing panels in situ is a skilled job. Suggest you talk to Robbins Timber in Bristol as they have a range of veneers as well as veneered one side thin ply panels. Sounds like water has got into your ply and a peeling face veneer may be hiding more serious delamination.
