Asking for at friend (honestly):

Looking for mobo, diesels(s) on shafts 28' to 36', speed potential 18-25 knots. Preferably year 2000 or later. Closed cabin for extended season use. Investment budget approx. £ 140k. Flybridge is not required but like the sporty Nimbus Coupé type design.
No engine make preference, previously had Volvo but not particularly loyal ;)

Looked a lot on the interweb but so far no cigar. "Proper bed" in this regard means 2 m long and no less than 2x80 cm / 1.6 m wide, accessible from both sides or single beds with individual access (climbing over your bed-mate isn't much fun in the middle of the night and night pee schedules are not sync'ed..) 💦

Front or mid cabin with fair standing height.

Please suggest makes & models - Thank you :)

Thank you all.

I know it isn't an easy task - a bit like wanting a sports car on the outside while having a caravan inside!

A few Nimbus Coupé boats have been up and they really are their own in many ways. Hence the question to you (after failing to see something on the web), as I might have missed some makes / models.

I've already indicated to the guy that he has to accept compromises. Even if the budget is nice, the other requirements are hard to meet.

I’d be surprised if the Nimbus meets the sleeper and headroom specs but might be wrong.

Hah, yes, much more choise if they sleep in separate cabins :)

Happen to know that some do this b'cause one of the parties snore heavily... (the boat next to me)

Nimbus, however nice and appraised, suffers from the fact of being smaller than other makes with same indication in model name. Hence a Nimbus xx feet is notably smaller than e.g. a Princess of same labelled size. Maybe Swedish feet are smaller? Anyhow, the possible compromises has to be understood by my friend. I think a new prioritation of need/nice to have is his next step.

Behind the scenes I'm happy to be proved right in that boats that meet all the reqs. are hard to find.

I think the smalles I've seen with the space asked for is Beneteau Swift Trawler 30, but that certianly has a different design than a Nimbus Coupé.

Have a look at the French ACM range

Thanks,- yes the 31 Elite looks nice, the white hulled version in particular. Close on the bedding desired.
I actually have the original brochure...
Not a lot of them up for sale though and their 38 and 43 are too big. I pointed out the 31 earlier and will remind the guy again.

Viewed a 38 Excellent myself, before buying the current boat (2011) and was very tempted. Ambitions and resources didn't really meet at the time though ;)
