I have just bought and 3 cylinder Industrial Perkins Engine to drive an Emergency Water pump for a furnace. The unit I purchased included lots of bells and whistles such as a radiator and dry silencer but there is a basic unit which is £1,490 complete with flywheel housing. The engine weighs about 125 kg and develops 25 HP at about 3000 rpm and is just crying out for a water cooled exhaust manifold and a small Hurth Gearbox. The engine is called a 403-11 and can be seen on the Perkins WEB site. I wonder if Polar Engineering or Bowman do suitable manifolds for these little engines. Anyone ever had a look at converting these engines?
