Did you have all your underwater fittings, engine, prop shaft and mains earth connected? And was your 12 VDC return connected to the earthing points as is often recommended.

Did you have all your underwater fittings, engine, prop shaft and mains earth connected? And was your 12 VDC return connected to the earthing points as is often recommended.

None of the skin fittings or the P bracket or the rudder shaft is connected to anything. The engine is insulated from the gearbox. The anodes protect the P bracket and the prop. The GI is connected to the engine block 12v negative connection. Apart from the GI, which I wired as advised by the manufacturer, the boat is as built (Jeanneau SO36.2, 1999 first launched).
