I'm going to pipe central heating around the boat in time for next winter. The heat will come from our 'Boatman' solid fuel stove, but as the boat is only 30 foot long I want a very quiet circulating pump. We can use either 24 volts DC or mains power from either the shore or from our inverter. I've heard of brushless magnetic drive circulating pumps but the only ones I've found so far seem very expensive. Any thoughts on an economical solution?

Thanks in advance, Stu

Get one from an otherwise scrap Webasto, Eber or Mikuni, they are very quiet and cheap and available in 12vDC & 24vDC, mainly brushless mag drive as you describe, I have a number that I have recovered, but only 12v. Alternatively as it is from a back boiler you could design a Thermosyphon "pumpless" system as per many narrowboats.
