The boat came out after 24 months with extensive slime, but also surprisingly some small totally clean patches.
The Micron Extra wore out completely around the waterline not just the bow, but around the stern too, surprisingly) and on the leading edge of the keel and rudder. Where the old and lighter colour antifouling was uncovered there was a significant growth of barnacles and other hard incrustations. This makes me think that the UA alone would not work very well, and in fact I am not sure if the overall good results were due more to ultrasonic or micron extra.

I would be glad to post pictures if I could, but the forum says I am over a very tiny quota and 1) did not offer a way to remove the old pictures 2) I am using Firefox on Linux with a javascript blocker and I do not intend to change my system to please the forum programme 3) someone might find pictures in my old posts still useful. We need a higher quota.

No we don't. Just manage the amount we all have.

Sarabande beat me to the attachments thing. No problem with deleting attachments from firefox on GNU/Linux.

When I hauled out in February it was after 32 months: Can't remember if I'd done 2 or 3 good coats of Micron extra. No ultrasonic anything. Slime yes, fouling: very little. Mostly based in Portsmouth hardbour.
