22/24\" Bravo 3 props needed
Hi All,
I spent a painfully long weekend at Hamble point doing my pre-season valet and have the sores to prove it... Will be paying for a valet next season!
Anyway, got chatting to the very helpful people at Southwater marine who have been working on my boat. We got round to discussing performance etc and it turns out that under my typical load conditions, 4 people, half tanks and a few barnicles I can only seem to reach 4000 rpm. Apparently I should be able to reach 4400-4800 wot. The conclusion is that for my use the boat is overpropped. however I am not spending £1200 to find out!
David Allen (Southwater) Marine kindly said he would approach Barrus (Joe Pointer, I think) Joe has kindly agreed to loan me some props to try - what a nice man! However I am still fearful of the bill should I purchase.
Does anyone know where I can either buy/exchange (new or used) either twin 22" or 24" stainless B3 props? I currently have 2 clean 26" props.
Many Thanks
Nick
