ORGANISATION: This race will be organised by Erith Yacht Club and Little Ship Club. Entry
limited to first 40 boats only – don't delay!
Eligibility: The race is open to any yacht with a Byron handicap system – if you don't already
have one, email the race organisers (thamesracing@littleshipclub.co.uk) and we will let you
know how to apply.
Race course
The race is in two parts, run over two days
1. Saturday 18th October
A Class Start Blackwall Reach – Black Shelf (S) – Erith YC 1200hrs
B Class Start Blackwall Reach – Stoneness (S) – Erith YC 1215hrs

2. Sunday 19th October
A+B Class Start Erith Yacht Club – Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich 0900hrs
Rules and sailing instructions
The races to be governed by the racing rules of sailing 2013-2016 (RRS) and subject to the
Port of London Authority bylaws. The sailing instructions may contain modifications to the
RRS, and will be available online closer to the race on the website of Erith Yacht Club and
Little Ship Club.
Handicap and scoring system
Results will be calculated using the Byron handicap system, from the aggregate of corrected
times from both race legs.
Fee: There is a race fee of £25. The entry form is available to download from the Little ship
Club website (www.littleshipclub.co.uk/thamesracing). Closing date for entries 12th October
2014.

Once you have entered your yacht, bookings for meals can be made subsequently.
• Race briefing will be held at the Little Ship Club on Friday 17th October 2014 at 20.00.
A supper will be available immediately afterwards. At least one member of the crew
from each boat entered must attend the race briefing.
• Moorings and dinner will be available at Erith Yacht Club on the evening of Saturday
18th October. Details will follow with Sailing Instructions in August 2014.
• Prize-giving will be held at Little Ship Club on Friday 24 October with an optional
supper provided.
St Katharine Docks is offering a special discounted berthing rate from the weekend before the
race to the weekend after the race of £100. This applies to yachts that have entered the race
only.
