2006 Blade Run, \"Gumball\" powerboat rally

The Gumball 3000 sponsored powerboat rally of 2005, now known as "Blade Run" (which featured in MBY last December) is now confirmed for 16-20 August 2006.
The event is looking very exciting with lots more boats, big parties and a great line up - update just went out.
I'm entering a boat into the rally with some friends but I know there are some boats offering spaces on them.

Would a Broom 42 - look out of place, it'll do 30 knots with the twin Yanmar 440s?

That sounds like it would be a good boat to enter. The boats all vary in size and shape from zapcats to Bladerunners and Gin palaces so quite an eclectic mix. For example, the guy who won the 2004 Gumball rally is entering a specially designed monohull powerboat with the Cheeky Girls.

2nd pic on website appears to be two young ladies lezzing up for the camera - if that sets the tone for the whole event, it looks interesting. . . . . /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
