We would like to wish all Motor Boat Chat users and visitors and happy and successful 2003.

This greeting comes from the London Boat Show, where the Yachting and Boating World team has a small stand and production office alongside Classic Boat and Motor Boats Monthly (7A).

If you are visiting the show this year various members of the team will be on site throughout the show and we would be pleased to meet you.

Happy New Year to you and your team Kim.

How does the show look this year, heard that one or two usual exhibitors were missing.

Re: 2003 greetings and welcome from London Boat Sh

I've not got out and around yet - am letting the younger members of the team drink the champagne this morning. But it's looking okay from where I'm sat and the stand allocation is full, as always.

The only long-standing exhibitor missing this year that I am aware of is Hardy. That company announced some months ago that it wouldn't be attending because it was fearful that the 2 January start date would not produce a good audience for at least a part of the show (that's a precis of its release, from memory).

Despite the near monsoon this morning there seems to be a decent crowd in now - perhaps because they sailed here. Certainly could have done with some positive buoyancy on the M4 this morning!

Sorry to miss you earlier - gather you are out of your glass cage quite a bit; but helping out on many stands etc
have a good show - wasn't impressed with the Turkish harbour - no kebabs and no Efes beer anywhere!
next time - or at some point in 2003 maybe
