My Fairline weekender arrives Gosport on Thursday where I have a couple of days to get her ready to go out on her mooring.
She has been out of the water for at least 28 months-I intend to service the leg and change the bellows, hopefully antifoul her (weather permitting)-any other obvious things to do? (apart from ask the boatyard to look for obvious signs of water ingress on floatation /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Might be worth adding fresh fuel to tank and bleeding through system. (petrol or diesel?)
Charge batteries, load test if possible.
Try seacocks if any, check not seized.

make sure all seacocks are working on and off before she goes in ?

check that any anti-syphon valves are ditto.

shake moths from ensign.

Enjoy the wet stuff again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

after that time span of inactivity, I would suggest water pump impeller renewal, engine pulleys cleaned of any rust, they will eat v belts at an alarming rate if left rusty, make sure all sea cocks operate smoothly, and leave them shut for the lift in just for starters, there are loads of other chores I would do before putting it back in the water after 2 years plus.I'm sure more qualified posters will add their views later,Spannerman and VolvoPaul would be just such posters, both very experienced and knowledgeable. and probably put the list in the right order unlike me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Will check the seacocks, good point.
Intend to pump out the fuel tank as the petrol isn't going to be much good, and it may have water in it.
Engine is non-runner at present, so v-belts, pulleys, impeller etc will be looked at in due course.
And I hope to give her a polish!

Why bother to a/f the hull. Have the boat out again say April when the real growth and the barnacles spawn as the water warms up, and then it might last till the end of the season. The anodes are a must.

Make sure transom hasn't rotted where o/drive attached. happened to my ol' boat, but fuel was OK and boat started at second attempt after similar time in storage. But it began to take on water once launched!!

I have just seen your post hopefully you will not of launched boat yet
I have had alot of experience of Volvo sterndrives over the years
There are quite a few other items you should check before launching
I have pm d you my mobile number
