2 Pot Polyurethane Varnish Without Curing Agent.

My son has used up all the curing agent but there is some varnish left. SWMBO put a coat on the tiller and washboards yesterday (thinking it was ordinary varnish) and it appears to have gone off Ok. Can she carry on with more coats?

2 pot poly cures by chemical reaction between the components. I can't imagine that a dried coat of one component has any durability.
If it was mine, I'd remove it by scraping/ sanding/thinners and recoat with a proper, single coat varnish.
